Like single games inspired by games. like .hack:// and sword art online? CrossCode is probably right up your alley then.

A lot can be said about Radical fish’s Cross Code and the majority of it is good. First released in 2015 CrossCode still holds up today. This review is based on the switch version of the game.

Now on switch pc, ps4 and Xbox there’s really not a reason to try out this massive fifty-hour indie game. With a great mix of open-world action and Zelda-like puzzles And pixel art, this game is an absolute blast to play.

Crosscode's story takes place in a fictional online game called CrossWorlds. Lea (you) gets her conscience trapped inside the game and has to figure out how to escape. Not only that a bug takes away your speech as well. As if this isn’t bad enough she has amnesia as well.

Sure, We’ve heard this type of story before. In games like .hack, and Sword Art Online (.hack Online being one of my all-time favorite games.) It’s easy to see where the inspiration comes from. But this is why this game is special.

Let me just say the graphics in this game are beautiful, the game is so full of life and even in its Zelda-styled graphics you can tell how beautiful this game is.
